CRANBROOK 2007:
INTEGRATED PRACTICE
& THE 21st CENTURY CURRICULUM
American Institute of Architects
2007

12 pages self cover + poster
12 x 16 inches

This publication serves two purposes: to document an AIA conference on Integrated Practice held at Oak Park in the fall of 2006, and to announce the summer Cranbrook 2007 conference.

From a series of diagrams sketched by conference participants, a set of keywords is identified. These words are then located in the total body of the transcription. Each keyword’s quantity of recurrence is mapped in a rectangle (or “cloud”) which positions itself behind the transcription. Each spread repeats the transcription, uniquely restructured by different keywords. In the middle of the document, the page unfolds as a poster which re-orders every word of the transcription alphabetically, and highlights all the keywords.

The document represents a discourse in formation, precipating something yet inexplicit, something bound to technologies still in formation.
